Media Lecturer

An experienced Creative Media Lecturer is required to teach learners at a college in Cambridge across all the levels of Media Studies qualifications.

Ideally you will need knowledge of BTEC qualifications and have the qualifications and experience to deliver Media – Animation, Gaming and Graphics/ TV, Film and sound/Esports courses. The ideal candidate will also and have experience in and up to date knowledge of the industry.  In addition have the following:

• Hold at least a degree level qualification in a relevant subject
• Hold a relevant teaching qualification (or willing to achieve within a set time-period from appointment)
• GCSE (A*-C) English & Maths
• Have current up to date knowledge and relevant industrial experience
• Have experience teaching in Further and/or Higher Education – Young people (16-18), Adults or Higher Education students as appropriate
• Have experience delivering Pearson BTEC specifications
• Have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and targets
• Flexible approach to working hours and ability to work as part of a team

The suitable candidate will provide an excellent learning experience to ensure the individual learner gains the appropriate skills in readiness for further study, employment or an apprenticeship.

This is a permanent full time position to start in September.
