Maths Lecturer

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Maths team to deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to learners within the mathematics curriculum area at GCSE & Functional Skill Level.  This is an immediate start and view to a permanent position in September.

You will also have some internal verification responsibilities. Suitable applicants must possess a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6, a Teaching Qualification to the required national standards and hold a Level 2 qualification in English, Mathematics and ITQ or have a willingness to work towards the qualifications in a timely manner.

Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment.

Main Duties for this role include:

• To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
• To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
• To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
• To support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
