We are looking for an experienced Carpentry Lecturer for a thriving Further Education College in Northampton, to start September on a permanent basis. As a Carpentry & Joinery Teacher you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality, and operational targets.

You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead, and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice, and quality targets.

Responsibilities Produce engaging lessons to Level 1,2 and 3 Carpentry students. Take a lead on Practical lessons demonstrating how you work on-site. Carry out marking and assessments. Safeguarding responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate of education or PGCE Current and valid industry specialism Assessor qualifications
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
