We are looking for an Assessor in Digital Device Repair who is a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher to join our cross-college Digital team. The successful applicant will be able to teach at all levels. You will be a responsible and confident teacher who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues. You will have an imaginative approach to teaching that generates wonderfully creative lessons to fully engage and inspire your students. The ability to create innovative online learning resources is important as part of this role.

Salary: From £23-34k – Perm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Level 3 qualification in … or a related field.
– Teaching qualification (DTLLs, PGCE, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
– Experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences and managing a diverse range of learners

– Experience in working in Further Education Colleges (preferably with up to date DBS)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To develop, maintain and account manage relationships with local employers, including the development of Higher Apprentices.
  • To deliver high quality apprenticeships by carrying out workplace assessment and delivering underpinning knowledge with a bias to digital device repair at level 3.
  • To take an active part in the recruitment of new apprentices through contact with local employers – managing key accounts, schools/colleges and through events. You will be responsible for securing a caseload sufficient to hit your targets.
  • To complete all required information under the projects to include Initial Assessment and Individual Learning Plan.
  • To ensure that all beneficiaries receive an initial and diagnostic assessment and skills scan through identifying recognised prior learning.
  • To contribute to course review, internal verification and self-assessment procedures within the area as appropriate.
